Cool, good job pointing out today's two auspicious firsts!

I really love the segues between Mountains and Dark Star, particularly when Jer extends the acoustic passage and then carries the theme after switching guitars, into the electric segment.

4/26/69 features an amazing MOTM>DS transition but the segue on 4/22/69 might be the best of them all...

However, my favorite is likely the chilling transition between the two songs on 4/5/69...

Absolutely love those transitions ! 2 of the best Grateful Dead songs (" Mountains", is my favorite GD studio recording) melting into each other . I really like Garcia playing acoustic, with the band electric ( sort of like what Bob would do with some of his tunes in the 90's forward . It makes me wonder what it would be like if Garcia used acoustic that way in the later days , say , in "Bird Song" , or in "Space" etc .
It is one of the things that makes early 69 so special .
